We had a wonderful Christmas this year. I feel like every year come Christmas time we are traveling to somewhere. It was nice this year to stay in our house and start some of our own traditions.
The girls were so much fun this year and are just growing up so fast.
We got a wooden advent calendar this year and starting December 1st talked a lot about the advent season. We had many conversations about the celebrations of the coming King. I just LOVE watching our daughters and the desire they have to know the King of Kings. They are so tender and loving and it just blesses this mama's heart.
We made an "advent" wreath where we all sat down together and talked about what we hoped for during this season. The girls were just precious in their answers.
We did not give them any suggesitons and
Naomi said, " she hoped that everyone can have a home and food."
Gabby said. "that she wants everyone to have blankets and that someone could have a baby in their belly."
My heart just fills to overflowing watching and hearing my babies WANT more for others.

Naomi does not really know how to handle emotions that are not on a "normal plain." If she is really sad or really happy she just clams up and acts disinterested. She finally warmed up to her goods about an hour or two later!
Gabby has NO issue with being excited over toys and candy!

We had a wonderful CHRIST filled Christmas. We enjoyed some great family time. My parents came down the Tuesday before Christmas and stayed until lunch time on Christmas Eve. Matt's parents came down on the 26th and are staying thru the 2nd.
