It is hard to believe that 6 months ago you were this small. And this hat was SOOO big.

6 months ago, your face was longer and leaner than the round shape it has now taken. Your eyes have changed a little to this beautiful bluish/hazel color. And your cute pink hat fits you much better now:)
6 months ago, you didn't roll all over your bed, you were not close to sitting up and you most certainly did not smile with your whole face when you woke up from a nap. You slept a lot back then and although you still LOVE to sleep, you sleep from 7:30 pm-7:00 am every-night and then take 2 two hour naps at around 9:30 and 2. You love your bed but are still pretty flexible with sleep and will still take your morning nap in the carseat if mommy has lots of errands to do or we go to church.

You were just learning how to eat 6 months ago and now you absolutely love to nurse. It is you favorite thing! You also have finally have given in to eating real food and you now eat baby oatmeal cereal with HOT water (you don't like it cold) and green beans. (Yes, green beans of of all things...she LOVES them. I didn't try them at first because honestly they are disgusting! Crazy baby!)
6 months ago, you looked eerily like your daddy! But now you are starting to resemble more of your mommy:)
You definitely did not have the personality that you do today, 6 months ago. (I know this picture is fuzzy but she was being silly and would not stop moving!) This is your new favorite face to make. I think it is the cutest thing ever how you curl in your bottom lip. I could just eat you up. You are too funny now and are really starting to interact with your sisters. Gabby can just make you giggle (when you are in the mood for her) and you are always on the look out for Naomi. You have quickly realized which older sister is the more gentle one:)
6 months ago, I met your sweet face. I was instantly in love. It is amazing, total God thing, how your heart just MAKES room for loving another child. It is such a FIERCE love that I am always unsure that I will be able to fully love another one, and then you meet them and you wonder have you ever doubted it in the first place.
Corin, you are pure sweetness. I can not even imagine our life without you. This past 6 months has been true bliss:) We look forward to the next 6 months of your precious life. (We just hope that it will go a little slower!!!)

HAPPY 1/2 Year Sweet Baby!

**The beautiful rag quilt you see in the pictures was made my friend Amy. She did an AMAZING job. It is perfect and exactly what I had envisioned when I asked her if she thought she could recreate this quilt I found on ETSY for like $200!!! Crazy. It cost about $35 total for the material. I totally think Amy should make a few more and try to sell them for 200 dollars!!! Thank you Amy. I LOVE it.

Food!

Corin has FINALLY given up on her stubbornness and hatred of all things not mommy's milk!!! Woo Hoo! She is not a huge fan but she will eat about 8-10 very small bites of oatmeal cereal with warm water! Praise God! She still makes some pretty hilarious faces but she does swallow the food!
She is still however, much more interested in yummy plastic! :)

It really has nothing to do with the sun...

I LOVE this time of year in the south. The sun peeps out behind the clouds and we will get a few weeks of very NICE weather. It really is such a tease! I pull out my flip flops (hoping to never have to put them away), get a pedicure, and open all the doors. There is something about the sun and warm weather that makes me smile and just brightens my day. I just love it. I love sitting on the back porch watching the kids play in the yard, kicking around the soccer ball, going on a nature hunt, and just relaxing. I love when you sit right in the sun it almost feels HOT. It is just fabulous.

After a few days of this it starts to lose its luster. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE being able to go on walks and enjoy the outdoors but it is just not AS exciting as it was the first few days.

I was just sitting outside the other day, thinking about how WEARY I have been lately. I just feel drained and tired. Yes physically tired, but even more than that, just empty. The sun seemed to help the weariness some but at the end of the day, I realized....

It really has nothing to do with the SUN but everything to do with the SON!

I know that when I start to get WEARY the only thing that can truly satisfy my heart is HIM. I know that it is so easy to get distracted by things of this world, which truly only make the soul long MORE for the ONE.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Hebrews 12:1-2

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:33

You are FIVE months old! (Well almost 5 1/2 months now...)
You are still the BEST baby ever.
I keep thinking that one day and your whole demeanor will change, but you never cease to amaze me with your calm spirit and completely lax attitude about everything.
You are just SO easy.
I hope this lasts far into the toddler years:)

You tried your first foods today of applesauce (2-5-10) and you were not that impressed. You just love your milks! Your sister Gabby has actually dubbed you the nickname "milky milks." It is hilarious because that is pretty much all she calls you. You absolutely HATE the bottle and still refuse to take it. I don't mind it too much but it is a little hard that NO one else can put you to bed at night or mommy can not really go anywhere without you for more than 3-4 hours. Oh well, your cuteness makes up for it!
You still are a great sleeper at night and are starting to really LOVE your bed for naps too. You still take a pretty decent nap in the carseat if needed but you would prefer your bed. You have a cloud b giraffe that someone gave you that love and a little (very thin) blanket that you love to be right by your face!. You have given up the swaddle but still sleep in a sleep sack for all naps and sleep at night.
You love to roll and roll and roll and I am pretty sure you are going to be our earliest crawler yet. You already can push up pretty high to where almost your entire chest/stomach area are off the ground. You also try to sit yourself up when I lay you on your bobby in the pack-n-play (to keep you from rolling and rolling!) You also love playing with your toys and jumping in your jumper. You sisters love to entertain you and you are quite mesmerized with them now. You love to watch them and your little eyes will follow them all around the room until they are completely out of your site!

Happy 5 months Corin. We love you!

* Don't forget to read the Birthday Post below.
** I hope to update on the middle child soon too:)

Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday dear Naomi.
Happy Birthday to you.

We rented a helium tank to blow up 100+ balloons for the UNDER THE SEA themed birthday party. (Matt actually has a blister from tying the balloons.)
Poor Gabs did not feel well at the birthday party:(
We got a real hermit crab for the party. I guess he is here to stay. Naomi named him "Hermie." Yes. Her name picking skills are awesome. She has a fish named "Goldfish." Gabby has a hermit crab too but he was not near as exciting and stayed in his shell most of the time. She named him "Princess." (I have no idea on the sexes of the crabs???) Gabby also has a fish named "Princess. So original.
The crab was the life of the party!
Under the Sea Birthday cake! I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. The inside is blue too! I used blue food coloring and made the bottom dark blue (like the deep ocean) and the top layer a lighter blue.

Naomi's friend Riley from school. She was SO excited that she came!

Naomi's friend Katie.
Gabby showing off the shirt I made her.
Crazy sisters.
The AWESOME submarine (made out of wood) that Matt made for a photo op for the party. It is so super great and I don't think I will ever be able to take it down.
Happy Birthday sweet girl!
Sweet Naomi.
We can hardly believe you are 5!
That is such a BIG KID age.
It kinda breaks my heart.
You are a true joy.
Daddy and I love you SOOOO much.
Happy 5th birthday love.

I am still here...

I am still here...

I have been quite the slacker on the blog lately. I have a few good excuses, three little girls to be exact!

But really we have been so super busy. We have a lot on our mind right now and could really use some prayer for direction and vision.

1.) We have to decide in the next few weeks-month on Matt's job situation. Should we stay or should we go??? It is HUGE decision that basically dictates our life for the next 12 years (ish). We want so desperately to seek God's desire for us. We don't want selfishness to get in the way of His plans for our lives.
2.) School for the girls next year....yes we are still discussing this. This is another thing that kinda hinges on #1 but it really is keeping me up at night. I really feel confident that God will lead us to where the girls are supposed to be, but I am growing impatient. A couple of the places we are considering start registration soon and I don't want them to fill up and realize that I missed the boat. It is also having both girls so close in age and one being in "real school" and the other in Pre K. I don't really want to drive all over town taking them to different schools at different times. One would LOVE to be home the other LOVES school....oh decisions, decisions. Once again, we want to follow HIS leading.

I promise to have picture posts up soon.

The next one, Someone is 5 Months and Someone is 5 years!!!
