Reminiscing.....

Reminiscing....

Seriously. I think I might go cry myself to sleep now. Do you see that sweet baby? Or did you hear Naomi's voice? Oh my word. And yes I use the word "feeder."

Sisters

(Above: Naomi releasing her pet lizard "lizzy.")

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life. ~Isadora James

Sweet Girl

Sweet girl is nearly 7 1/2 months old!
She loves carrots, pears, sweet potatoes and prunes!
She can get up on her hands and knees and do the "rocking" movement.
She is so funny and sweet but still our calm, stoic child.
She sleeps ALL the time for a total of 12 hours at night, and 4-5 hours of naps during the day.
She LOVES her sisters, bathtime, and her paci.
She still has no teeth and looks like it still might be a while.
She has the most beautiful blue eyes.
She LOVES to be outside.
She is an excellent car rider.
She is growing too fast!

These pictures really DO justice....

These pictures really do DO justice at a real glimpse into our day to day life....

Gabby, our free spirited diva, prefers princess dresses and heels over real clothes any day. Coordinating colors are way over rated in her world.
In stark contrast, Naomi, our straight laced child prefers simplicity and "normal" clothes. And truthfully she would just rather I tell her what to wear everyday. She would even let me dress her.

Their relationship, as represented perfectly below, is somewhat like a misbehaving toddler and a disgruntled mother. I will let you be the judge of who fills which role???? :)

In all seriousness, they really do LOVE each other. They have NO idea what it is like to not always have a play mate. We are truly blessed.

Crazy People

Crazy people.

Someone asked me the other day if Corin was a little boy....and this is what she was wearing.
Big flower headband and all....
"Um, what? My baby in the pink bow? NO she is a girl! And for the record my future hypothetical sons will never wear purple flower shirts and pink bow headbands." Ok I really didn't say that last part about my future sons....but that is what I was thinking:) What the heck?

Like I said......crazy people.

Pretty day for a picnic...

About a week ago the girls and I went outside for a "picnic." I use that term loosely because we grabbed a towel, walked about 12 feet off our porch and sat down and ate. The girls were giddy with excitement about it, and they now ask to have "picnic's" every day:) I wish we had a fence!

Little C enjoying some time in the bumbo seat. It was very bright out this day and she having a hard time looking at me. Look at her cute little bald head!!
Gabby. She is one of a kind for sure. She has a very eclectic sense of style. I usually let her have free reign over her clothing choices if we don't have anything to do that day....I have to intervene for school and church days:)
Rain boots go with everything....of course!
Naomi LOVES being outside. She would probably camp out every night if I would let her. Speaking of, we still have not had a family camping trip yet and we must get on that soon. Sweet girl is so neat and careful compared to her younger counter part. She is such a good help around the house. (And she also needs a hair cut!)
Poor Naomi....she is always compromising things (like sitting on the towel) for Gabby. She is such a great big sister.
We hope to have many more picnic's while the weather is so nice. Soon it will be WAY to hot to go outside and we will have to lock ourselves inside for the summer!

6 month and 5 year stats

Corin just had her 6 month check up on Monday and Naomi had her 5 year check up. Here are their stats!

Corin @ 6 Months:
Weight- 17 lbs 9 ounces 70th percentile
Height-26 inches- 60th percentile

***Random note: I went back and looked up Naomi and Gabs 6 month stats, and it is almost eerie. Naomi weighted 17 lbs 10 ounces, and Gabby weighed 17 lbs 7 ounces. Is that not crazy???

Naomi @ 5 years:
Weight- 39 lbs 45th percentile
Height- 44.5 inches- 80th percentile

-Naomi has definitely become our lanky kid. It is just so funny to look back at her "chunky" baby pictures compared the string bean she is now. I have a hard time finding clothes to fit her, especially in the winter. She could use a 3-4 around the waist, but needs nearly a size 6 to be long enough. Oh the joys!!!
