BUSY BUSY BABY

Busy little baby....

You keep me on my toes

... you love to play and sleep in your hat but refuse to wear it in the car or outside in the cold where the wind blows.....

And you cook and clean and play pretend.

You love to look at a book and follow your sisters in whatever rooms they go in.
We love you so much our sweet little Corin.

Friday Fun Day!

Because we homeschool we are able to be flexible and we decided to dub every Friday, Friday FUN Day! Matt takes off school and we all go and do something fun. The first Friday we went to the local children museum, the second we did the library and lunch and last Friday we went to the pound! Naomi LOVED it. These little puppies were so super cute. The cat room however gave me the creeps. There were these glassed in rooms you could go in with cats EVERYWHERE:)

Creative Genius!

Ok, not quite! But I did get the creative bug around Christmas time!

I actually made this in Oct. It is a family rules canvas hanging in our kitchen!

Coffee Filiter Wreath...

I have been seeing these fabric flowers EVERYWHERE and I LOVE them so I figured I would try it out. They seriously are the easiest bow ever. You need an hot glue or fabric glue and any kind of fabric. One is an old fabirc scrap, one is burlap, and the other our old t-shirts and sweaters I cut up!

And this I am most proud of....got this idea of pinterest and went to re-creating this beauty. I of course had to take it down after Christmas but I am working on a non Christmas one to replace it.

See new post below!

Sleeping Beauties:)

Matt and I are thinking of just getting rid of one of the girls beds since this is how we find them every night. EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT.

Seriously. Makes my heart swell with joy:)

Our littlest girl:)

IT is has been WAY too long since I have updated on the littlest girl in our home. Our sweet sweet Corin.

Nicknames: Little C, Coriny, Renny, Stinky, Turkey Tail, Goober
Age: 16 1/2 months
Weight 23 1/2 pounds (I think 75-80 %tile)
Teeth: 11 working on 12 (We are horrible parents bc we thought she still had 6 teeth and looked one day and she had 11!) Poor third kid!
Speech: Our girl has quite the vocabulary. She says close to 20 words. Mama, Mommy, Daddy, Puppy, Baby, Bobby, NaNa, Gabby, More, Bye Bye, Thank you, Pop Pop, Mimi, Papoo, and even more. She talks ALL the TIME!

Relationship to sisters: Naomi and Gabby adore their little sister and Corin shares the sentiment most of the time. Occasional she is full up on sister love and needs some space:)
Personality: Our girls is still as sweet as ever but has added a little sass and spunk to her style. She definitely knows what she wants and is not quite as happy if she does not get it. She also thinks she is SO funny and laughs at herself multiple times a day. Here she is being quite the goober:) She has also started this dance/shake her booty move that totally cracks us up!
Toys/Playtime- Corin enjoys most of her ride on toys and likes things that make noise. She got a chair for Christmas and likes to sit in it and read books. She will play for quite a bit right when she gets up in the morning and after naps all by herself. Usually after she has been awake for an hour or so she wants someone to play with her. Thank goodness for the two other mommies we have in our house! She also loves to tell us where her belly and nose are:)
Walking: Look she is WALKING. Errrr, kinda:) She walks on her KNEES. Everywhere. She rarely crawls anymore and chooses knee walking as her form of transportation. It is absolutely the funniest and cutest thing I have ever seen. She cruises all around furniture and Matt and I did miraculously get her to take a few steps on New Years Eve, so we are not worried that she can't walk. She is just taking her own sweet time:)
Foods/Eating: Our good eater girl is turing into quite the picky toddler. I was so good about giving her so many yummy foods (like all veggies, eggs, beans, fruits, cheese, and ect)...now she spits out most vegetables. She does NOT like peas, green beans, olives, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, avocado, broccoli, or mushrooms. It is sad. Her favorites right now are yogurt, raisins, black beans, turkey, chicken, pasta, string cheese, pancakes, oranges, grapes, and unfortunately cookies:) Anyone have any good smoothie recipes that sneak in veggies???

Sleep: Corin still sleeps 12ish hours at night and takes one long nap from 1-4 during the day. She loves her blanket (calls it B) and still takes a paci in bed.

We love this sweet girl to pieces!!!

Christmas 2011

Here is our Christmas card for this year! I thought it turned out so cute:)

Back:
And our sweet girls on Christmas Eve.
We had a truly joyful Christmas celebrating the birth of our King!

**I had major plans to catch up on blogging tonight but my right hand is killing me. I broke my hand in high school and had surgery on it and screws put in. I am having a lot of pain when I try to type. (currently using left hand and one finger on other hand.) Prayers that the pain will subside and I won't have any more issues would be appreciated! Hope to update soon on all things regarding Corin, the big girls, ballet, weight loss, running, and new Years "resolutions."

Youth Camping Trip

Matt and I have started working with the youth at church. I lead the high school girl small group and Matt leads the middle school boys. We have been LOVING it. I really have a heart for this age and still feel like I am "young" enough to connect with them in a different way than their parents. (I think I may have like 1-2 more cool years, then I am just going to be OLD:(

We went with the youth group to Pisgah National Forest, NC. We camped out and it was 23 degrees the first nigh. I am not a seasoned camper and I thought I was going to surely freeze to death. I ended up getting in my car at 5 am and turned on the heat for like 2 hours. I know, I am pitiful. We went on a 8 mile hike on Saturday and just had a great time.

While we were FREEZING the girls were living it up in this cabin about 20 miles away with my parents. They had a blast exploring nature and eating whatever the wanted.

Family photo session

I have been doing a few photo shoots here and there, trying to keep my very amature photography skills from getting too rusty...

I loved how these two turned out:)
